Casey Burks

CEO

Casey is the visionary heart behind Brave Haven. She has been in recovery since 2018 and brings years of experience as a life coach, walking alongside countless individuals through growth, transition, and healing. As CEO, she is a steady and compassionate leader who supports and guides her team with intention, encouragement, and trust. In her down time, you’ll likely find Casey training at the gym, and cuddling her fur babies, Buffy and Kitty. Her passion for recovery, personal growth, and community shines through in all she does, and she is deeply committed to giving back to the recovery world that changed her life.

Trista Vaughn

Director of Operations

Trista has been in recovery since 2018 and carries multiple years of clinical experience working in mental health and addiction, blending professional knowledge with lived understanding. Trista believes that healing is about progress, not perfection, and that every person deserves grace, no matter their past, and meeting people exactly where they are. Known for leading with intention, honesty, and high standards of care, Trista is deeply committed to seeing residents thrive. You’ll often find her with an Alani drink in hand, swapping true crime stories, or spending time with her dog, Tyke.

Emma Stevens

Program Director

Starting each day with a cup of coffee and cuddles with her cat, Whiskey, Emma brings a bubbly, outgoing personality and her belief that laughter belongs even in the most serious work. Beginning her recovery journey in 2022, Emma shares lived experience from sober living and recovery apartment communities, allowing her to support residents with deep understanding. She leads with firm boundaries and a soft heart, with a passion about turning houses into true homes that foster a calming environment . Her superpower is igniting the fires within our residents to feel empowered in every choice they make.
